KARACHI, March 14: Five ships carrying wheat, DAP fertilisers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Emirates Wasi, Hyundai Future to unload and load containers and Odigitria to unload fertiliser were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departed ships were led by Jurong Bebaru, Filippa and Shaheen Al-Ghanim-10, while Don Franc Bulic, Emirates Wasi, Hyundai Future, Ahen Hua-5, Hyun Jin-3, Erria Maria and Happy Venture are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 97,763 tons comprising 33,181 tons of export cargo and 64,582 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Eser Kaptanoglu with 30,903 tons of imported wheat, Luck Fortune with general cargo, Veacape with oil, Bunga Terasek with containers and Maritime Valour with 24,118 tons of DAP fertiliser.
