KARACHI, March 13: Four people, including a woman, were killed on Thursday in acts of violence in parts of the city.

Nabi Bux police said a 25-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were killed near Bukhari Mazaar when unknown attackers opened fire. Bodies of Umair, resident of Usmanabad, and Ganga Devi, resident of Punjab Colony, were shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsies.

Hospital sources said that the young man received three bullets, two in upper torso, and the woman received a single bullet in her abdomen.

Area SHO told Dawn that the incident seemed to be motivated by rivalry between gangsters as Umair was also found involved in criminal activities. He said that unknown assailants opened fire on the people who were sitting near the Bukhari Mazaar.

Sources said that the deceased woman had only come to visit the Mazaar.

Body found

A 22-year-old eunuch was found shot dead in Akhtar Colony within the limits of Mehmoodabad police.

His body was shifted to the JPMC. Sources in the hospital said that the victim was shot to his head from a very close range as the bullet went through his skull.

Youth murdered

An unidentified young man was found murdered on the pavement near Smart Board Factory in Sharafi Goth.

The body was shifted to the JPMC where sources said the victim was killed due to fatal wounds to his head inflicted with a blunt weapon.
