Published March 12, 2008

LAHORE, March 11: Champion filly Brave Act has been voted by race goers, owners, trainers and jockeys as the undisputed claimant of the honour of being the Horse of the Year 2008.

Owned by Sohrab Khan, the bay filly has staged wins in all the four racing attempts of her career. Trained by Amjad Ali II, the daughter of Replay out-of-Coxswain, Brave Act is the winner of the Maidens’ Plate, 1,000 Guineas Of Pakistan, The Derby Trials and the Pakistan Derby 2008. She has the distinction of crowning all the four classics, a feat achieved by no other colt or filly and still remains undefeated.—AG
