Taimur, Tehmina Emerge winners

ISLAMABAD, March 9: Taimur Hassan lifted the men’s Islamabad Golf Championship title after aggregating a score of 147 over 36 holes in the amateurs’ gross category in the two-day tournament which concluded here at Islamabad Golf Club on Sunday.

Tariq Mahmood finished runner-up with 150. Tehmina Ali Khan clinched the ladies’ gross event with score of 172. She was followed by veteran golfer Yasmin Mubarak with 179.Abbas H. Mirza logged 151 to annex the seniors’ amateur gross crown. He was followed by Masud Ahmed with 159.

Mubraiz captured the juniors’ under-15 gross title with a tally of 174, followed by Shaharyar Amin (181). Sara Mahmood was declared the ladies’ net winner with a score of 148. Kasamatso finished second with 151.

Hamza Amin won the amateurs’ net title with 141, followed by Akbar Mian (149).

Ijaz Saddozai won the ‘longest drive’ award in the amateurs’ category while ‘closest to the pin’ went to Hashim Khan.
