SARGODHA, March 8: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has accredited the University of Sargodha and its law degree.

A decision in this regard was taken at a PBC meeting in Karachi on Dec 14. According to the notification dated Feb 13, a PBC committee considered the matter at length and decided to recognise the university and its law degree with effect from March 16, 2006.

The PBC also announced that any person who appeared in the university’s LLB examination after March 16, 2006 and passed it would be entitled to enrolment as a lawyer with any of the PBC’s provincial bar councils. — Correspondent
