LAHORE, March 7: Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dr Tariq Khokhar says police will ensure implementation of ban on kite flying and one-wheelie.

Presiding over a meeting of divisional superintendents of police (SPs) and station house officers (SHOs) after assuming charge of his additional responsibilities at Police Lines here on Friday, Khokhar directed them to take strict action against those involved in kite business. He said the owner of the house used for kite flying would also be arrested.

He warned that a departmental action would be initiated against those officials who would opt delaying tactics in registering kite flying related FIRs.

The SSP said one-wheelie had become a menace, as precious lives were lost in the dangerous stint that also caused hindrance in traffic flow and it was duty of the police to strictly implement the ban. —Staff Reporter
