NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 7: A teenaged boy kidnapped some two months back was recovered by police after an encounter on Friday. Eighteen-year old Sajjad Siyal from Mohammad Khan Siyal village near Kandiaro was kidnapped on January 12.

The SPO Kandiaro, Fida Hussain Awan told reporters kidnappers had been shifting the boy from one place to another. He said police went near Dodha village on a tip-off where after an encounter kidnappers escaped leaving behind the boy.

Sajid supported police version, but there was talk in the town that Rs500,000 were paid in ransom for the release of youth.

DEMO: Journalists led by President Press Club Naushahro Feroze staged a demonstration to protest lodging of false FIR for setting on fire the government Madressa and high school in Naushahro Feroze.

Those named in the FIR had played leading role in the agitation for removal of encroachment from school ground. Journalists demanded withdrawal of the FIR.
