QUETTA, March 6: An independent member of the Balochistan assembly, Mir Abdul Rehman Mengal, has announced his support for Pakistan People’s Party.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said he was part of independent group headed by Sardar Aslam Bizenjo who had already announced support for the PPP.

Sardar Aslam Bizenjo and the provincial PPP president, Nawabzada Haji Lashkri Raisani, were also present on the occasion.

Mr Mengal said that the Election Commission had issued notification of his success which had been held over earlier. He said he believed that the PPP would fulfil its commitment to solve the problems of Balochistan.
