NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 6: A teacher was kidnapped on Wednesday while going to his workplace.

Ghulam Mohammad Channa, a primary schoolteacher and resident of Sakhidad Wahi, was on way to school in Mohammad Ali village when kidnapped.

His brother-in-law Fayaz Channa said he had lodged complaint with Tharushah police. He said police had arrested Siraj Channa and Saleem Channa in the case.

A shutter-down strike was observed in Mohbat Dero in protest against police for not lodging an FIR of the kidnapping of two brothers.

Shopkeepers of Mohbat Dero observed strike up to 1pm. People led by activists Manzoor Bhutto and Abdul Sattar Dahraj staged demonstration outside police station.

They complained that two brothers, Khadim Hussain and Riaz Ahmed were kidnapped on Tuesday but Mohbat Dero police did not lodge an FIR.

They said police since Tuesday were keeping them on false promises.
