QUETTA, March 4: The Balochistan chapter of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q has nominated Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel as its parliamentary leader in the Balochistan assembly.

Party sources said here on Tuesday that the decision was taken by a three-member committee comprising Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran and Arbab Hashim after consultations with members of the party.

Mr Mandokhel himself confirmed his nomination as parliamentary leader of the party at a luncheon hosted by former deputy speaker Mohammad Aslam Bhootani in honour of PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah and Ejaz Jhakrani.

PPP’s parliamentary leader Nawab Aslam Raisani, Senator Saeed Hashmi and Sardar Aslam Bizenjo also attended the luncheon.
