EDB budget proposals

ISLAMABAD, March 4: The Engineering Development Board (EDB) has constituted 22 sectoral committees on engineering and allied sectors for framing proposals for 2008-09 budget.

The committees have been formed to achieve the objective of competitiveness and productivity.

A separate committee has been constituted on simplification of procedures, having members from the ministry of industries, commerce, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and experts on tariff/SROs. It will deal with issues related to SROs.

All stakeholders, industrial concerns, manufactures of engineering and allied products and consumers of such products can submit their proposals to the relevant committees. The committees will submit their proposals to the EDB by March 20.
