KARACHI, Feb 29: Eight ships carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Noor Voyager to unload coal, Hanjin Qingdao, Y.M. Moji, Ninth Ocean to unload and load containers, Winco Uno to offload bulk cargo, Johar, Saja-A and Rising Sun, tankers, were accommodated berths.

The departed ships were led by Hyundai Highway, Filippa Creek, Spica, Noor-i-Madina, Morning Glory-3, Winco Uno and Capetan Costis, while Malakand, Saja-A, Breeze, Nats Emperor, Hanjin Qingdao, Y.M. Moji, Ninth Ocean, Johar, Hyun Jin and Rising Sun are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.120m tons comprising 49,771 tons of export cargo and 70,261 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Swat with crude oil, St. Irene, Eric G. Gibson, Bunga Delima, Harmony, Jitra Bhum, Gentic with containers and San Jiang Kou with general cargo.
