Three dead, eight hurt on road

GUJRAT, Feb 27: Three people were killed and eight others injured when a speeding passenger van hit a motorcycle rickshaw near Hariyawala Chowk on GT Road late on Tuesday.

Aslam of Faisalabad and two unidentified people an old woman and a 10-year-old boy died at the scene, while Taimur, Arshad, Tariq, Fakhar, Haroon, Nazeeran, Nadia and Raju were injured. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bagna village (Kunjah) on Wednesday. Muhammad Arshad was doing his duty at a petrol pump when unidentified armed men gunned him down.
