PESHAWAR, Feb 26: Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy reached the 22nd National Junior Volleyball Championship semi-finals at the PSB Coaching Centre on Monday.

Army, the defending champions, outclassed Punjab 3-0 in their last preliminary-stage match to reach the last-four round. Experienced spikers Zaheer Abbas, Mohammad Siddique, Mohammad Imran and Mohammad Yaseen helped their side to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-9 victory over the Punjab.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy thrashed NWFP 3-0, the set scores being 25-11, 25-22, 25-8, to reach the semi-finals.

The matches are being supervised by Sufi Mohammad Shafique, Humera Zahid, Wajid Kamal, Maazallah, Khalil-ul-Rehman and Najam Hussain.

Today Army meet Navy in the first semi-final while Police take on NWFP in the other pre-final.—APP
