Ballot recount for NA-172

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Feb 25: The district presiding officer has ordered a re-count of all ballot papers polled in NA-172 in the Feb 18 elections.

The officer did so after runner-up Hafiz Abdul Karim of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) filed an application for the re-count. According to unofficial results declared by the Election Commission of Pakistan, PML-Q’s Farooq Leghari won the polls with 44,630 votes followed by Hafiz Karim who got 42,308. — Correspondent
