KARACHI, Feb 25: The SSC Science and General groups (regular and private) annual examinations, 2008 will begin on April 15.

This was announced by the controller of examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi (BSEK), here on Monday.

He said that these examinations would be conducted simultaneously and it was expected that the number of students taking these exams would exceed 300,000, which was a record.

The preparations for the conduct of the examinations were in full swing and the finalisation of the exam schedules was in the final stages, he said, adding that the admit cards for the private candidates would be dispatched on March 10.

KU disaffiliates college

The University of Karachi has disaffiliated Al-Noor Degree College, D-41, Block N, North Nazimabad/ Block 18 Federal B Area offering BCom programme.

The students already enrolled in BCom-I have been advised to get themselves transferred to some other affiliated colleges, said a KU notification.

Tuition fee

The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) announced that the tuition fee for the evening programmes could be deposited by March 5.—APP/PPI
