Chemists Postpone strike

Published February 25, 2008

LAHORE, Feb 24: The Pakistan Chemists Retailers Association has decided to postpone its strike to protest the implementation of amended Punjab Drug Rules, 2007, till March 9.

The association’s chairman, Ishaq Meo, said that the association had decided to postpone the strike because the present caretaker government could not take any decision regarding the rules, as it was going to relinquish its charge in near future.

Medical stores would join the movement of lawyers for the establishment of rule of law by observing strike from March 9 in case the new government did not accept their demand to repeal the drug rules, Meo added.
