15 injured as pickup overturns

SHIKARPUR, Oct 6: Fifteen people, including five women, were injured when a Datsun pickup overturned near Shikarpur Bypass Road on Saturday.

The pickup, which was going from the Mangi Mehar village of the Garhi Yaseen taluka to Thul, overturned after its driver lost control of the steering.

Nine of the injured, identified as Tagial, wife of Mohammad Mehar; Arbeli, daughter of Arbab Mehar; Saeedan, wife of Ali Bukhsh; Mehar, Gulzar, wife of Belo Mehar; Shama, wife of Karim Bukhsh Mehar; Arbab, Talib, Nisar and Sanwa, were admitted to the Civil Hospital in serious condition.

Six other injured, named as Hakimzadi, Habibullah Mehar, Hakim Mehar, Nehalan, Deedar Ahmed Mehar and Uzer Ahmed Mehar, were discharged from the hospital after the first aid.

MEDICAL CAMP: A one-day free medical camp was organized by Iftikhar Ahmed Soomro at the HMB Hospital, Hathi- Gate, here on Saturday.

Prof Dr Abdul Sammad Shera and Prof Dr Jafar Naqvi of Karachi examined over 125 patients of diabetics and kidney, and gave them free medicines.

KILLED: Chanesar Kharosh Jatoi shot her daughter, Rabail alias Zahida, to death in the name of Karo-kari in Shikarpur the other day.

No one had been arrested till the filing of this report.
