MIRPURKHAS: ST candidate quits race

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 17: The Sunni Tehrik candidate for PS-65 Mirpurkhas-II, Faheem Attari, has announced to withdraw from the contest in favour of People’s Party candidate Syed Ali Nawaz Shah.

The announcement was made at a PPP meeting held on Saturday at village Gul Hassan Talani near Makhan Samoon where Chaudhry Ashraf and Chaudhry Khalid announced to join the PPP.

POLLING ARRANGEMENTS: All necessary arrangements for holding polls on Monday in the district have been finalised.

Police and Rangers have been deployed at polling stations, while army troops would remain standby and would be patrolling to maintain law and order during election process.

Rangers and police have jointly started snap checking of vehicles at all exit and entry points of the city and towns of the district.

People to cast vote for two national assembly seats (NA-226 and NA-227) and four provincial assembly seats i.e. PS-64, PS-65, PS-66 and PS-67.
