Pakistan to compete in World TT

ISLAMABAD, Feb 15: Pakistan table tennis team will participate in World table tennis championship, scheduled at Guangzhou (China) from Feb 24 to March 2.

The Federation has selected three women, three men and as many officials for the event. They are Ms Ghalia Khurshid, Ms Sadia Falaksher, Ms Maliha Khurshid, Syed Salim Abbas Kazmi, Muhammad Yasir Iqbal Bhatti and Asim Aziz Khan.

The officials are RI Hwang (women’s coach), Kim Song Hyung (men’s coach) while Saiyid Sibtain will accompany the team as manager/delegate. Pakistan team will leave for China city on Feb 23 from Karachi.

The tournament will be perfect preparation for the home peddlers before the 11th South Asian Games (SAG).—Agencies
