Lawyers hold protests

SUKKUR, Feb 13: The lawyers’ community continued their boycott of court proceedings in Sukkur while staging a protest demonstration outside the district and sessions court here on Wednesday.

They were protesting on the call of the Pakistan Bar Council.

The protesting lawyers strongly slammed the continued house arrest of the deposed chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary, Aitzaz Ahsan and others and vowed that their struggle would continue till the restoration of judiciary and release of all office-bearers of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
