KARACHI: PML-Q sure of win

Published February 14, 2008

KARACHI, Feb 13: Former federal information minister Mohammad Ali Durrani has claimed that the PML-Q and its allied parties are getting enormous public response in the ongoing election campaign and this indicates that they will form government both at the centre and in the provinces after the Feb 18 election.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr Durrani, who is also the vice-president of PML-Q, said there was a possibility of more political parties joining the coalition at the provincial level.

He said the “Zardari-Nawaz alliance” would not be able to form government at the centre.

He claimed that the coalition led by the PML-Q not only filled the government kitty after it was plundered by its predecessors, but also launched unprecedented development, besides setting up schools, colleges, hospitals, etc.—Staff Reporter
