LAHORE, Feb 11: German Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Gunter Mulack was not allowed to meet Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan detained at his Zaman Park residence.
Officials deployed outside Mr Ahsan’s residence informed Dr Mulack that Punjab Home Department’s permission was a must to see the SCBA president. The German envoy met with Bushra Aitzaz and said he was a friend of Ahsan and wanted to see him.
He hoped Mr Ahsan would be released soon and that the general elections would be transparent and tranquil. —Reporter
