DARRA ADAMKHEL, April 11: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company authorities, political administration of Kohat Frontier Region and  tribal Maliks on Wednesday decided that power meters will be installed in  shops, industries in the tribal areas, while meters in the residential areas would be installed later.

This was decided in a meeting held at the Water and Power Development Authority House in Peshawar to chalk out modalities for the recovery of arrears from the tribesmen and installation of power meters there.

Flat rates will be finalized after new agreements with Khyber, Kuram, Aurakzai, Waziristan and Mohmand agencies’ tribesmen. Wapda claim Rs500 million arrears in Kohat FR.

The meeting was attended by Pesco superintending engineer, Kohat FR assistant political agent and tribesmen’s representatives, including former parliamentarians.
