Schools’ gymnastics end

KARACHI, Feb 10: Hosts Habib Public School (115 points) and Beaconhouse North Nazimabad (89 points) won the seniors’ and juniors’ trophies respectively in the two-day Inter-school gymnastics championship which concluded at the school’s gymnasium on Sunday.

Army Public School secured 91 points to finish runners-up in seniors’ while the third position went to Karachi Cadet School with 88 points.

Sarim Ahmed of The City School PAF Chapter was declared Best Gymnast of the senior’s section.

The second and third positions in the juniors’ went to Shah Wilayat School (77 points) and Al Rahim Public school (73 points).

Mohammad Ayub of Al Rahim School won the Best Gymnast award in the juniors’ category.

The championship was held in four apparatus — floor exercises, vaults, free spring exercises and parallel bar exercises.—Sports Correspondent
