Villagers kill robber

TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 9: Villagers shot dead a first-year student after he along with accomplices tried to loot a farmer and then shoot him in the neck near Chak 326-GB on Saturday.

Shafqat Ali of Chak 750-GB (Sindhillianwali) and accomplices Wajid and Usman, both students of the 10th class, caught Ashraf of Chak

326-GB, told him to hand them over his belongings and shoot him in the neck when he resisted.

Hearing the gunfire, people from a nearby village rushed to the scene and chased the student robbers. In the ensuing exchange of fire, the villagers killed Ali and caught Wajid and Usman.

They were later handed over to Chuttiana police.
