Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Feb 9: Nine ships carrying containers, imported wheat and to load ethanol and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships were berthed ,notably to offload and load containers; They are; Pilippa, Hanjom Port Adelaide, Tiger Creek, Calvin P. Titus, Y.M. Improvement, Ninos, Gulf Bridge to unload and load containers, Global Union, oil tanker and Iran Sadr to offload coal.

Sailings were also active as half a dozen ships included Conti Esperance, Filippa, Oel Spirit, Ken Sirious, Glory Tellus, Global Union were departed, while Gulf Bridge, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Y.M. Improvement, Leopard and Ninos are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 91,882 tons comprising 34,470 tons of export cargo including 4,127 tons of cement and 57,406 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Formosa Product Cosmos to load 11,500 tons of ethanol, Stolt Acacia to load 50,000 tons of naphtha, Despina-P, Bunga Kenari, Jitra Bhum, Ever Given and Longuimay with containers, Chitral with general cargo and Cleveland with 11,500 tons of imported wheat.
