LAHORE, Feb 8: The federal government on Friday notified the appointment of 10 additional judges to the Lahore High Court.

They are Lahore High Court Bar Association president Ahsan Bhoon, Kazim Ali Malik, special judge, anti-corruption, Multan, Rana Zahid Mahmood, district and sessions judge, Sheikhupura, M Ashraf Bhatti, D&SJ, Lahore, M A Zafar advocate, Ali Akbar Qureshi advocate (ex-SCBA secretary), Hafiz Tariq Nasim advocate, Khalil Ahmad advocate, Syed Shaheed Masood Rizvi advocate and Malik Saeed Ejaz advocate.

Their oath-taking ceremony will take place today (Saturday) on the Lahore High Court premises at 4pm.

Bhoon’s induction is a major surprise as he, in his capacity as the LHCBA president, has been participating in rallies for the restoration of the deposed judges.
