HYDERABAD, Feb 7: Awami National Party leader Asmatullah Khan Mehsud has warned that if the party were to allow its workers to pick up guns, then no one will remain safe.

Condemning the murder of their party leader Fazlur Rehman Kakakhel in Karachi, Mr Mehsud said the Pakhtoons were being pushed against the wall from Peshawar to Karachi and only because of their policy of non-violence, they had not retaliated although it was against their nature.

Speaking to the ANP workers at the party office here on Thursday, he appealed to them to control their emotions and remain peaceful.

He said the second death anniversary of Khan Abdul Wali Khan will be held on Friday where the provincial president of the party, Shahi Syed, will announce future course of action.
