LAHORE, Feb 6: The oath taken by the PML-N candidates to work for restoration of the judiciary was tantamount to contempt of court and the election commission should take note in this regard.
Pakistan Muslim League-Q Punjab President Pervaiz Elahi said this on Wednesday. He said his party might have a dialogue with Nawaz Sharif provided he first assured the people that he would not flee the country again and not support Asif Zardari.
In a press statement, he alleged the basic principle of PML-N politics was to make false promises and flee when adversity hit the party. The PML-N leaders had always deceived the nation by first telling lies, fleeing the country without taking people into confidence and later supporting Mr Zardari.
He said the main objective of the PML-Q was to get rid of Punjabi and Sindhi ‘Zardaris’ as they were out to loot the country instead of serving the masses. He said both leaders of the PML-N had been `permanently’ disqualified from the election process and those voting for them would actually benefit the Pakistan People’s Party. PML-N had already joined hands with the PPP, he added.
He said while in power the PML had served the masses with missionary zeal, besides resolving their problems at their doorsteps. Both the PPP and the PML-N got power twice but instead of serving the masses they plundered the exchequer.
