Newly-wed youth ‘robbed’ of life

GUJRANWALA, Feb 5: A newly-wed youth was shot dead while his brother and sister-in-law were injured by robbers at Jalil Town on Tuesday.

Reports said two robbers stormed into the house of Muhammad Hassan, a highway department computer operator, at Jalil Town during loadshedding hours.

They snatched cash, gold jewellery and other valuables worth Rs200,000 from inmates and, on resistance, opened fire on them, killing Hassan and injuring his brother Shah Jehan and sister-in-law Razia Bibi.

The injured were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
