Published February 2, 2008

RAWALPINDI, Feb 1: The All Pakistan Chemist and Drug Association (APCDA) has announced to hold a protest rally on Saturday against the new drug rules.

Chairman of the association Arshad Mehmood Awan said here on Friday that the medical sector was already facing several crises and the new drug rules would further worsen the situation.

He said the chemists had no choice but to observe strike as the conditions at the basic health centres and medical stores were deteriorating.

The problems of the people will be increased by the new drug rules, he added.—Online
