LAHORE, Jan 29: A cousin of PML-Q chief Shujaat Husain and three independent candidates joined the PML-N on Tuesday.

Chaudhry Mubashir Husain announced the decision at a press conference along with PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif. Mubashir will now support PML-N candidates in Gujrat.

Three more independent candidates from PP-115, PP-74 and PP-81 also joined the party on the occasion. Two of the entrants from PP-74 and PP-81 were granted PML-N tickets on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz said the PML-Q had offended the entire nation due to its pro-military policies and would face the consequences in the coming general election.

He claimed that Shujaat had summoned the inspector general of Punjab police three days ago and asked him to help PML-Q candidates win the elections.

He alleged that the caretaker set-up was serving the PML-Q, but their days were numbered.
