British national kidnapped

ISLAMABAD, Jan 29: A British national, who converted to Islam was kidnapped on Tuesday, police said.

The police said five masked-men armed with weapons entered the house of Dr Rehman Danish, old name L.R Davis, located at Simly Dam Road, Barakhu and held him and his family at gunpoint.

The culprits ransacked the house and looted Rs40,000 in cash, gold ornaments weighing 10 tola, five mobiles, and a laptop. Later, they took Mr Danish hostage while escaping from the house.

Later they made a phone call to his wife Sabhia Davis and demanded ransom for his safe release.

Mr Dansih a born Englishman and was living there for the last seven years. The police registered a case and started investigations.
