KARACHI, Jan 29: Six ships carrying containers and to load general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity on the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, Conti-Harmony, Tenth Ocean, Wan Hai-311 to unload and load containers, Friendly Sea to load general cargo, Hyun Jin to load cement, Wales to load clinkers, Lalazar to offload crude oil and Gold Star to load molasses.

Sailings were also active as eight ships, Oel Shureyas, Sima Sabha, Itha Bhum, Drake, Aiud, Bunga Melati Dua, Moyra and Friendly Sea departed on Tuesday, while Sealo-1, Conti Harmony, Ploutos, Wan Hai-311, Lalazar and Tenth Ocean are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.121m tons comprising 52,002 tons of export cargo including 7,582 tons of cement, 360 tons of clinkers and 1,980 tons of rice and 69,335 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Helene Rickmers, Harmony, Y.M. Star, Kapitan Byankin, Hyundai Advance with containers and Spica to load general cargo.
