MARDAN: Two killed in Mardan

MARDAN, Jan 26: A boy and a girl were killed on Saturday in two different incidents here.

In Amankot Toru locality, three persons — Maira Abdul Jabar, Abdul Malik and Laiq Shah — allegedly opened fire at their opponents — Jabar and Malik resulting into the killing of a 10-year-old girl — Naureena and injuring of Jabar. The accused escaped from the scene.

In Dhari area, one Abid shot dead a boy -- Shah Room over a petty dispute. Meanwhile, the city police here have registered a case against a teacher of a private school for allegedly beating his student of class 6. The father of the student lodged the case. The student has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
