ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: Two security guards of a house were suffocated here on Wednesday after toxic fumes from coal filled their room, police said.

Niaz Mir and Rabiuddin, residents of Kohat were found dead in a servant quarter of the house in Sector F-6/3.

The incident came to light when deceased’s colleague, who also used to live in the quarter, arrived at the house after performing night shift and found them lying unconscious.

Despite repeated attempts by him to wake them up, they did not reply.

And after believing that they died he informed the house owner’s wife about the incident, who passed the information to the police. The police shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for legal process.—Staff Reporter
