MIRPURKHAS, Jan 23: Mirpurkhas Taluka nazim Ghulam Dastagir Khan inaugurated the city beautification programme at Satellite Town here on Wednesday.

Briefing the gathering, project director Muneer Ahmed Soomro said that the Sindh government had released Rs250 million which was half of the total estimated amount to be spent on the programme.

The programme included construction of 17 asphalt roads, some services roads and footpaths, widening of other roads, renovation and lightening of four parks and three grounds and lightening of main roads, he said.

He said that tender process had been completed and the work would be completed in one year. He said that after completion of the project, problem of traffic jam would be solved in the city.

Mirpurkhas District Naib Nazim Zafar Ahmed Kamali and Hesco executive engineer Mohammad Saleem were present on the occasion.
