ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: Consulate General of Pakistan in New York has asked the relatives of Pakistani victims of the World Trade Centre (WTC) disaster who have not filed reports with the New York city authorities to do so immediately.

The city authorities have assured that even if the victims or their relatives have no legal status in the USA, the information that they give will not be shared with the Immigration & Naturalization Service.

The relatives need to fill out a one-page form to report for the missing person. Then they may fill another seven-page form designed to assist the authorities in identifying the victims.

These forms will then be filed with authorities at Pier 94 (54th Street & Hadson River). These forms can be downloaded from the website www.nyc.gov.

After this the relatives can obtain a death certificate for the missing person.—APP
