Weightlifting squad named

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22: Pakistan on Tuesday named an eight-member squad to take part in the eighth Namjou Memorial International weightlifting championship, being held in Tehran, Iran, next month.

The squad comprises five players and three officials.

The competitions will be held in 56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg and over 105kg weight categories from Feb 12 to 15.

The Pakistan team will leave for Iran on Feb 10.

Entries will be finalised on Feb 12 and the opening ceremony will be held on Feb 13.

Squad:

Weightlifters: Kashif Bhatti, Tahseen, Haroon Shaukat, Imtinan Dar, Waqas Tariq.

Officials: Mohammad Ismail (manager), Abdul Sattar Rahi (coach), Nafees Ahmed (assistant coach).—APP
