MIRPURKHAS, Jan 22: Employees foiled a bid to loot a petrol pump owner on Tuesday during daytime but the accused managed to escape leaving the pistol and bullets on the spot.

Accused Mehmood alias Munna entered Kale Khan Petrol Pump, held owner Mohammad Ishaque Maher on gun point and looted Rs25,000 cash. Staff at filing station caught the culprit and seized the looted money and his pistol but the accused managed to escape.

Mohammad Ishaque Maher lodged an FIR with the Town Police.In another case three people including son of Mirpurkhas Union Council-I Nazim have been booked for resorting to firing at milk shop in Thomsabad at Khan Road here on Monday night.

Reports said Shakeel Ahmed s/o Wali Muhammad Inqalabi, Nazim UC-1 along with Farooque Chishti and Umair Pathan reached the Multani Milk Shop and exchanged hot words. Later Shakeel Ahmed opened fire but owners Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Rizwan and others remained unhurt.

The motive was said to be the dispute between owners and accused Shakeel Ahmed on the debit money of milk.

Town Police lodged a case against the three accused on the complaint of Mohammad Rizwan.

However, no arrest was made till the filing of report.
