KARACHI, Jan 22: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and project cargo were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships arrived at the outer anchorage.

The berth occupancy was maintained at 50 per cent at the port where six ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil, project cargo and wheat.

The port handled a cargo volume of 41,455 tons of cargo comprising 35,046 tons of import and 6,409 tons of export tonnage was handled

Sailing was slow as only Al Salam left the port while three other vessels were expected to depart on Tuesday.
