KARACHI, Jan 21: Eight vessels carrying containers, chemicals and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Malian to unload oil, Jitra Bhum, Fraucoise Gillot to unload and load containers, Noor-e-Maidna, Red Sea Spirit to unload and load containers and Drake, to offload and load general cargo.

Sailing was also active as over a dozen ships, including Y.M. Energy, Hyundai Sprinter, Nordwoge, Tower Bridge, St. Irene, Lalazar, Aqua Star, Johar, Benga Melati and Al-Maqwa departed on Monday, while Noor-e-Medina, Glory Tellus and Bunga Terasek are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.253m tons comprising 53,692 tons of export cargo including 13,616 tons of cement and 9,970 tons of clinkers and 0.199m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Moyra and Hermia, with chemicals, Hansa Century, Haromny, APL Amman, Oel Spirit with containers, Pacific Arrow to load cement and African Pal with steel cargo.
