Demo held against kidnapping

KHAIRPUR, Jan 19: The brother and relatives of kidnapped Ameer Ahmed Khuhro along with his friends staged a protest demonstration outside the Razidero pres club, Gambat taluka on Saturday.

Talking to newsmen, Murtaza Khuhro, brother of kidnapped man Ameer Ahmed Khuhro, said that they would launch a peaceful struggle after Muharram for recovery of the kidnapped persons.

Meanwhile, district office-bearers of JSQM expressed solidarity with the families and relatives of kidnapped persons and extended their support to them.

FAKE CASES: Meanwhile, PPP workers and devotees of Pir of Ranipur, Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani, led by Haji Yousuf Panhiar, continued their protest demonstration near Kathore on second consecutive day on Saturday.

They were protesting against registration of false FIR with the Ranipur police against PPP candidate for NA-217, Pir Syed Fazal Shah Jilani and his brother Syed Ahmed Raza alias Syed Pyar Ali Shah.

They said that besides registration of fictitious cases against PPP candidates, hundreds of PPP workers were also booked by the police after martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto. They demanded withdrawal of all such cases.
