TAXILA, Jan 17: Newly elected president of Taxila Bar Association (TBA) Mohammad Afzal Janjua advocate on Thursday said his bar would play frontline role in the struggle for restoration of pre-November 3 judges.

Talking to newsmen, he said after Ashur the legal fraternity would step up their struggle for restoration of superior judges, independence of judiciary and rule of law.

Responding to another question, he said the lawyers’ movement had created awareness among the general people and the CJP had become a symbol of judicial independence. People have also realized that only an independent judiciary can provide them relief besides ensuring security of their life and property.—Correspondent
