NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 17: A man was killed by his friend near village Pir Umer over a dispute on cutting a tree in Tharushah area on Wednesday night.

Niaz Ahmed Chandio, 38, was cutting a branch of a tree on land of his friend Amir Ali Mari when he reached there.

After exchange of hot words, Amir attacked Niaz with a hatchet, injuring him severely.

The injured was rushed to the rural health centre Tharushah, later he was referred to Civil Hospital Naushahro Feroze but due to his critical condition referred to Nawabshah where he died.

The corpse was brought back to the village. Tharushah police lodged an FIR under Section 302.

KIDNAPPED: A young girl was kidnapped in village Mitho Solangi near Tharushah on Thursday evening.

Reports said that seven armed men forcibly entered the house of Mohammad Yousuf Solangi near Tharushah and kidnapped his 18-year-old daughter.

Yousuf lodged a complaint with Tharushah police against Kirir Solangi, Nabi Bux, Shahzad, Bakhshal, Qadan and Anwar, all residents of village Lal Bux Korejo, near Mithiani.

The police field a non-cognizable offence report.
