KHANEWAL, Jan 16: A house in 38/10-R was damaged in a blast on Wednesday, reports said. The house owner insists it was a bomb blast accusing the police of covering up. The police, however, called it a geyser blast.
“A bomb went off in our toilet at about 5:15am damaging five rooms partially and the toilet completely,” said Syed Murtaza Shah, house owner while talking to the correspondent.
He said police had forced him not to mention the incident as bomb blast. He added police were dubbing the incident electric geyser blast installed in the toilet due to over-steaming.
Khanewal District Police Officer Shahid Hanif said a bomb disposal team under his supervision had also inspected the blast site but could not find any explosives.
“I visited the site and found it a geyser blast. There was no damage to the house, as claimed by the house owner,” he said.
ZULJINNAH: The main Zuljinnah procession emerged from the Central Imambargah (Block-11) at the district headquarters amid strict security measures.
The procession attended by hundreds of mourners passed through its traditional route and concluded at the main Imambargah, Old Khanewal.
