RAWALPINDI, Jan 11: Two highwaymen looted Rs180,000 in cash and some cellphones from three car riders after blocking Kahuta road on Wednesday night and later disappeared in the dark, police said.

Aftab Hussain, one of the robbery victims complained the police that he along with his son was going towards Kahuta when he found the road blocked near Daval. He said as he stopped his car, he found the two gunmen around him who forced him to give up the cash.

The robbers snatched Rs105,000 in cash and two cellphones from him and later intercepted another car driven by Mohammad Subhan. The gunmen snatched Rs30,000 and a cellphone from Subhan and then they stopped another car coming from Rawalpindi. This time the robbers held Javaid Ahmed at gunpoint and snatched Rs45,000 and a cellphone from him.—Staff Reporter
