Fawad, Ammar excel

KARACHI, Jan 10: Promising Karachi teenager Ammar Hasan scored his second successive century in the KCCA League Inter-club Cricket Championship, powering Dawood Sports to an eight-wicket win over Korangi Friends CC at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Wednesday.

Ammar finished with an unbeaten 103 studded with nine boundaries and a six. Former Test wicket-keeper batsman Atiq-uz-Zaman top-scored with 66 for the losers. Meanwhile, Al-Noor Gymkhana CC thrashed Delhi City Gymkhana by 131 runs at the TMC Ground, thanks to a fine all-round show by Pakistan player Fawad Alam.

Talented Fawad smashed 14 boundaries in his 86-run knock and took three wickets for 11 with his left-arm spin bowling.
