KARACHI, Jan 10: Six ships carrying general cargo, chemicals and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Madonna-3, Ninth Ocean, Global Prince, Hyundai Stride, Kota Mesra, Spica and Swat were berthed to unload containers, general cargo and crude oil after the departure of five.
The ships, which departed were led by APL Shenzhen, Norasia Alps, Team al-Emirates, Ikan Altamira and Noor-i-Medina while Global Prince, Gemini, Danica Red, Kota Mesra, Hyundai Stride, African Shark, Ninth Ocean, Swat and Oriental Express are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.136 million tons, comprising 46,047 tons of export cargo (6,055 tons of cement and 3,036 tons of clinkers) and 90,296 tons of import cargo was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Oriental Tulip, with chemicals, Harmony, Ocean Shekou, with containers, Al-Mast, with coal, Golina, to load cement and B B C Campana, with general cargo.
